Recognise the Warning Signs of Sinus & Allergy Trouble
A blocked nose may feel trivial, yet recurring symptoms often signal a condition that needs specialist care.
Watch Dr Pang explain what an allergy is:
- Persistent stuffy or runny nose, worse at night
- Facial pressure or headaches that linger for days
- Itchy, watery eyes after contact with dust, pets, or pollen
- Sneezing bouts that disrupt work, study, or play
If you recognise these symptoms in yourself or a loved one, an early consultation can set you on the path to easier breathing and restful sleep.

Your Path from Diagnosis to Lasting Relief
Identifying the real trigger behind sneezes, congestion, or itchy eyes is the first step toward breathing comfortably again. Here’s how Dr Pang guides you from clear diagnosis to a treatment plan that fits your needs.
3 Simple Tests to Uncover Your Allergy Triggers
Every lasting result begins with pinpointing the real cause of your symptoms.
Watch Dr Pang show how we test for allergies

Skin Prick
- Tiny droplets of common allergens are placed on your forearm (or back) and the skin is gently pricked.
- A raised bump with slight redness within about 15 minutes signals a trigger substance.

Blood Tests
- A small blood sample is sent to the laboratory, where antibody levels to dust, pollen, mould, pets, and other allergens are measured.
- Results return in a few days to guide your tailored care plan.

Nasal Endoscopy
- A slender camera scope is guided through the nostril to inspect the nasal passages and sinus openings.
- Real-time images reveal swelling, polyps, or blocked drainage channels, giving a clear picture of why symptoms persist and how to treat them.
How We Help Keep Your Symptoms in Check

-
What It Is
Practical changes at home, school, or work to minimise everyday allergen contact. -
How It Works
You may receive suggestions for simple changes, such as using a HEPA vacuum, running a dehumidifier, and keeping pets out of bedrooms. -
Who Benefits
Anyone sensitive to dust, pets, and mould, especially those who spend long hours indoors. -
Why It Helps
With fewer irritants in the air, nasal tissues may be calmer, flare-ups become less frequent, and reliance on medication can be reduced.

-
What It Is
Doctor-directed sprays, tablets, or drops that settle swelling, itch, and congestion. -
How It Works
A nasal spray eases swelling, an antihistamine blocks allergen-induced sneezing, and tablets help keep the passages clear. -
Who Benefits
Patients who need rapid relief during a flare-up, or steady control while longer-term treatments take effect. -
How It Is Taken
Daily or when symptoms flare up, at the dose your doctor set. Follow the instructions closely so the medication works as intended.

-
What It Is
A method that gradually retrains your immune system rather than just covering up symptoms. -
How It Works
You receive steadily increasing doses of allergen extracts—either as injections under the skin or tablets that dissolve under the tongue. -
Who Benefits
Individuals with confirmed, specific allergies who want long-term relief instead of temporary symptom control. -
Why It Helps
Repeated exposure desensitises the immune system, so reactions become milder and less frequent over time.

-
What It Is
A class of treatments made from living proteins, antibodies, or cells that zero in on the specific immune signals driving allergic inflammation. -
How It Works
Certain biologics block IgE, while others interrupt cytokines or receptors involved in the allergic reaction. -
Who Benefits
Individuals with severe or hard-to-control conditions, especially when conventional treatments fall short. -
How It Is Administered
By injection or infusion in the clinic, or self-administered at home, at intervals set by the medication and your response.
